i’m so glad you’re here

We’re about to become long-term biz besties

first thing first:

Congratulations are in order 🥳

Seriously, grab whatever drink you have nearby and raise it up to celebrate the great business decision you’ve just made.

(I sure am celebrating you on my end.)

You’ve taken that first step towards investing in elevating your brand’s online presence using professional video content that reflects you, and your personal brand while authentically sharing your story. How exciting is that?! 🥳

As your video coach and on-set hype woman, I’ve got your back every step of the way—from brainstorming your perfectly on-brand shot list to coaching you on what to do with your hands while you’re on camera.

No big production crew and truckloads of equipment. No bright lights. No pressure.

Just you, me, and my trusty camera to capture all the gold.

What is Brand Videography?

This may seem obvious, but I'm all about clear communication;

Brand videography is all about your brand's essence, like who you really are and why you're doing what you do. I know, it can get a bit tricky, but with the right approach, you can whip up a video that grabs attention and boosts your brand up a notch while maintaining your authenticity online.

Think of it as a process where videos are born from the heart of your brand. The aim? To make them not just look professional, but to also have that personal, approachable vibe. And hey, they'll help you craft a solid strategy to conquer your business goals too.

Some terms you’ll often hear me use:

Tap on each term to read the definition
  • A-Roll is the main story of the video, often it’s the spoken portion of the edit.

Imagine you're watching a movie. The main actors, the ones in the spotlight, that's the A-Roll. These are the superstar shots we capture during a shoot – the ones that tell the main story and steal the show. Just like the heroes of your favorite flick, A-Roll shots are the stars of your video project!

  • After a fun video session, we gather up the coolest and most exciting shots. These shots, known as "culled b-roll," are basically all the usable clips we captured during our time together.

This footage is straight from camera, so it’s not coloured or stabilized. That is why there will be a running timer on screen and the footage will be watermarked.

Once you receive the culled b-roll, you get to handpick your favourites to be coloured and stabilized, so it’s ready for you to share online! 🎥✨

  • Once you send me your b-roll clip selections, I’ll take them into my editing room and work my magic to make them look great. They will be combined and exported into one longer video that you can then slice up into smaller clips.

  • Think of a script or video pitch as your video's game plan. It's like the roadmap that guides everyone on what to do or say in the video.

Just like telling a story, a script or video pitch helps us know who says what, when, and how, to make sure we’re on the same page when it comes to making a video that gets everyone excited!

What to expect:

01. Branding questionnaire

This is where we get into the nitty-gritty of your brand, your target market and your ideal clients. Don’t try to sell me on your services/products in your answers, just keep it casual and try to pour your heart and passion into those answers. Taking your time to complete it and providing me with as much information as possible is crucial here - the more information you give me, the more I can get out which will pay off in the brainstorming portion of the content for your brand.

02. You’re always in the driver’s seat

I’m officially your side-kick who will give you prompts to brainstorm concepts and bounce ideas off you, but in the end you are the only one that knows what is best for your business. I’ll listen, collaborate, inspire you and help you bring your vision to life. I will give you plenty of ideas for what kind of content we can produce, but the final decision is always yours.

03. Planning calls

Before each session, we’ll jump on a video call to brainstorm new content ideas and nail down the logistics of every session. These should be scheduled at least 2 weeks before our session, if not more. I always recommend scheduling the planning calls as early as possible, because it gives you even more time to prepare for the session - find models, secure locations, plan outfits and more.

04. Session Prep

After our call, I’ll send you a summary email of what we chatted about, the content ideas we came up with and give you a deadline to come up with final choices. Then, I’ll send over a session prep document that outlines the logistics of the session: date, start/end times of the shoot, locations, props and outfit ideas, what’s expected from both parties. I require your initials on the document before the session, just to ensure we’re on the same page.

05. Shoot Day

Because the prep portion is so extensive, and you do all the work ahead of time, the shoot day tends to honestly fly by fairly smoothly. I’ll coach you, give you prompts and keep tabs on time.

06. Delivery

Relationships and connections are at the heart of what you do.  As a local business owner, you’re in business to care about people. And so am I! This is why your video edits are always delivered as drafts before we finalize them. If you aren’t completely in love with your first draft video content (or that one angle is kinda sorta bothering you), we’ll tweak the edits until they’re picture-perfect.

*Important Pro Tip:
I promise we’ll have so much fun on the day of our shoot, but I also know it’ll take A LOT of brainpower to get everything done. I highly recommend that after the session you don’t schedule anything major but simply go home to relax, change into comfy clothes + have a chill evening to recharge.

Are we all set for your first session?

If we haven't locked in your first one on the calendar, no worries – it's time to do that now. You've probably got a kick-off call lined up, and I'll be sending you my scheduler link real soon.
