Ready to invest in a brand video in 2023? If so, you’ll want to make the most of your investment! Luckily, I’m here to help (as your favorite Calgary brand videographer). Before I share the details of how we made the most of Sphere Optometry’s brand videos, I want to share some feedback they gave me after their brand videos went live!

“I have been finding that our most engaged patients, and those who are usually the most excited about our offering from a health and retail perspective are those who come from social, more specifically from Instagram, so I'd like to try to grow that population and convert them to patients.  I feel that video offerings could help with our engagement and creating a real fan base of Sphere supporters!” – Danielle Gordon, Optometrist at Sphere Optometry

This is what Danielle said in her questionnaire when I asked her why Sphere Optometry wanted to invest in a brand video by working with a Calgary brand videographer (me) and how it could impact their business. I loved this answer because I felt like Danielle was spot on!

How did I help?

I created two marketing videos for Sphere Optometry that aligned with their goals. These videos help tell their story in a clear, professional, and concise way. They’re perfect for showing to potential customers, sharing on socials, including on the website, and wherever else they’d like.

With one video we focused on a specific service that they get a lot of questions about, and the other video was more of an overview of the optometry clinic.

The service video is a great resource to educate people on their facials. It answers the frequently asked questions, provides all the necessary information, and helps someone better picture what the service entails.

The overview videos capture the essence of the clinic while sharing about the business in a more overhead way. It’s a great video for people who are interested in learning more about the general atmosphere and attitude of Sphere Optometry.

Putting some money into a brand video could be just the thing your business needs to stay ahead of the game. Let's face it, we live in a digital world where grabbing people's attention isn't always easy. But when you invest in a brand video, you can share your story, show off your products or services, and really connect with your audience on an emotional level. Think of it as a secret weapon that helps your business stand out from the crowd! And guess what? It's not just about looking good – it's about building trust and credibility too.

Plus, videos are known to boost conversion rates, get people talking on social media, and even help you rank higher on search engines. So, invest in a brand video to not only show off the heart and soul of your brand, but to also set yourself up for some serious business growth!

People are watching…

They’re watching the content you’re creating. They’re watching how often you’re posting. They’re watching to see if you interact. They’re watching. Social media is a powerful tool that you can use to draw in potential clients, and keep your existing clients hooked.

What’s the process of working with a brand videographer?

Before our shoot, I sent Danielle a questionnaire to learn more about the brand and what they were specifically looking for with their video content.

Afterward, we met and discussed how we could best execute their goals in their videos. Meeting before the video session helps us ensure that we’re on the same page and able to be most productive on the day of the video shoot.

We scheduled a time that worked best, and then eagerly waited for the big day.

On the day of the session, we met and recorded the footage. When we have a plan beforehand, we’re able to efficiently get the right footage and have guidance on what we need to do. We had so much fun recording the clips, getting to know each other, and creating content.

Shooting days are some of the highlights of being a brand videographer—it’s always so much fun getting to actually be behind the camera capturing people in their businesses.

Once I’ve captured all the footage I take it home to work my magic (aka edit for hours haha). I piece clips together, colour correct, find music, correct audio, and do all that fun stuff that goes on behind the scenes.

When I’m done the footage, I get to type of an exciting email and send it to the client! This is both absolutely thrilling and always a little bit nerve-wracking.

What did Sphere Optometry do with their branded footage?

They used their footage to grow their fan base, just like they had hoped.

You can check out one of their reels here, and the other one here. It’s really exciting to see that both reels were top-performing posts with high engagement, and views.

Creating engaging social media content can feel overwhelming. When you work with a brand videographer you will receive professional video footage that you can use on your socials, website, emails, and more!
