What is Brand Videography?
This may seem obvious, but I'm all about clear communication;
Brand videography is all about your brand's essence, like who you really are and why you're doing what you do. I know, it can get a bit tricky, but with the right approach, you can whip up a video that grabs attention and boosts your brand up a notch while maintaining your authenticity online.
Think of it as a process where videos are born from the heart of your brand. The aim? To make them not just look professional, but to also have that personal, approachable vibe. And hey, they'll help you craft a solid strategy to conquer your business goals too.
What to expect:
01. Branding questionnaire
This is where we get into the nitty-gritty of your brand, your target market and your ideal clients. Don’t try to sell me on your services/products in your answers, just keep it casual and try to pour your heart and passion into those answers. Taking your time to complete it and providing me with as much information as possible is crucial here - the more information you give me, the more I can get out which will pay off in the brainstorming portion of the content for your brand.
02. You’re always in the driver’s seat
I’m officially your side-kick who will give you prompts to brainstorm concepts and bounce ideas off you, but in the end you are the only one that knows what is best for your business. I’ll listen, collaborate, inspire you and help you bring your vision to life. I will give you plenty of ideas for what kind of content we can produce, but the final decision is always yours.
03. Planning calls
Before each session, we’ll jump on a video call to brainstorm new content ideas and nail down the logistics of every session. These should be scheduled at least 2 weeks before our session, if not more. I always recommend scheduling the planning calls as early as possible, because it gives you even more time to prepare for the session - find models, secure locations, plan outfits and more.
04. Session Prep
After our call, I’ll send you a summary email of what we chatted about, the content ideas we came up with and give you a deadline to come up with final choices. Then, I’ll send over a session prep document that outlines the logistics of the session: date, start/end times of the shoot, locations, props and outfit ideas, what’s expected from both parties. I require your initials on the document before the session, just to ensure we’re on the same page.
05. Shoot Day
Because the prep portion is so extensive, and you do all the work ahead of time, the shoot day tends to honestly fly by fairly smoothly. I’ll coach you, give you prompts and keep tabs on time.
06. Delivery
Relationships and connections are at the heart of what you do. As a local business owner, you’re in business to care about people. And so am I! This is why your video edits are always delivered as drafts before we finalize them. If you aren’t completely in love with your first draft video content (or that one angle is kinda sorta bothering you), we’ll tweak the edits until they’re picture-perfect.

Where does the pricing come from?
Payment Information:
If paying by credit card, 3% processing fee will be applied to your final invoice. If paying by money e-transfer, no extra fees will apply.
What is included in the pricing?
Pre-Production:
Time spent on planning and strategizing the video shoots, client communication management, assistance in location scouting, and more.
Production Day(s):
All audio and video gear, filming time and travel time.
Post-production:
Editing time, program subscriptions, music and graphic licenses, permits, time spent on client communication, and edit revisions.
Additional costs
The following are not included in the quote for any project:
Travel outside of Calgary, Alberta
Parking costs
Booking a location for your shoot, i.e. booking a Calgary studio or an AirBnB for your session
Licensing cost of b-roll/stock footage, if requested
Drone footage, if requested
Licensing of mainstream music for client's edits, if requested
All of your final edits will come with a royalty-free music that will be chosen by me. I absolutely love to get your input, but ask that you simply trust me in the final decision making. I do this for the legal and creative purposes; I license all of my songs, and often the mainstream music is not available to license. Should you decide to license a mainstream song for your edit(s), you will be responsible for the licensing fees.
Clear communication and clear boundaries:
Office Hours:
I'm currently on maternity leave, which means I may take a tad longer than usual to respond to emails. As a small business owner and a new mom, I wear many hats and often juggle multiple clients at once—so multiple people may be needing my attention at any given time. I'm reachable via email Monday through Friday, and I always do my best to respond by the following business day. I set clear boundaries in my business to stay productive, keep creativity flowing, and support my overall well-being. I kindly ask that you respect these office hour boundaries, and I encourage you not to work outside of your own regular hours on my behalf.
Edit Revisions:
Video editing is extremely time-consuming, but I love efficiency. This is why it's important that my clients submit all requests for edit revisions at once (i.e. in a bullet point format) within 7 calendar days of receiving the first video cut/draft. This timeline is intended to respect your time, and mine, while ensuring that we are intentional with the time we have together. Failing to provide feedback and/or your requests for edit revisions within this timeframe will result in delays of finalizing this project and the original deadline for delivery of these edits will be waved.

What happens after you book?
After we make things official with signed contract and paid retainer, I will send you a branding questionnaire to complete. The questionnaire will help me learn more about you, your business, your target market, who you want to serve and how, along with your why and your values. This information is really important for me to help you create captivating content that will appeal to your ideal clients. It's important that you take your time filling this out, and give me as much information as possible because your answers in your questionnaire will help me dive even deeper into your brand and come up with a clear vision in mind for your video. This is where the magic happens!
I will send you instructions and tips to help you get started on writing your script and/or storyboarding for your shoot. I will always be in your corner to help you fine-tune your messaging.
Once we have the pitch/script completed, I will send you an email with ideas for our shot list, along with suggestions for props, outfits, additional models we'd need, etc.
